3TU zet in op intelligente mechatronische systemen

Het Nederlandse hightech landschap krijgt steeds meer structuur. Grote OEM’ers en middelgrote system suppliers bundelen krachten in platforms en allianties. Bedrijfsleven en kennisinstellingen definiëren gezamenlijk onderzoek in het Programme for High Tech Systems. Kleine zelfstandige specialisten verenigen zich ook, zoals in het vorige nummer van Mikroniek werd gemeld. En nu hebben de drie technische universiteiten hun samenwerking bezegeld in de 3TU. Federatie; op 7 februari vond de officiële oprichting plaats.Vorig jaar al waren diverse Centres of Excellence van start gegaan, waaronder het 3TU.Centre for Intelligent Mechatronic Systems. Mikroniek sprak met wetenschappelijk directeur en TU/e-hoogleraar Maarten Steinbuch.
