Apertuurmechanisme voor SCIAMACHY

SCIAMACHY is een ruimtevaartinstrument welke als functie heeft restgassen in de atmosfeer te detecteren. Dit instrument zal op de ENVISAT geplaatst worden en als alles volgens schema verloopt in 1998 gelanceerd worden. Om tijdens zijn vijf jarige missie te kunnen controleren of het instrument nog steeds juist gekalibreerd is, wordt twintig keer per dag met de spectrometer naar de zon gekeken. In verband met de hoge intensiteit van de zon is een mechanisme ontwikkeld dat een diafragma voordraait.
