OPTEL is een onafhankelijk ingenieursbureau dat is gespecialiseerd in dienstverlening op het gebied van de toegepaste optica, opto-elektronica en lasertechnologie. Onze aktiviteiten omvatten onder meer advisering, ontwikkeling en realisatie. Wij werken in opdracht van bedrijven en instellingen die optische (meet-) technieken willen inzetten nij onderzoek en produktieontwikkeling en bij de beheersing, bestudering/analyse en kwaliteitscontrole van produktieprocessen. In dit artikel wordt een beeld gegeven van een optische ontwikkeling (FDMS = Fiber Diameter Meet Systeem) welke door OPTEL gerealiseerd is. Het betreft hier het automatiseren van een off-line steeksproefgewijze produkt van non-woven glaswol.
