Philips Applied Technologies heeft een technologie ontwikkeld om een standaard lineaire motor gelijktijdig in twee richtingen te laten bewegen. Dankzij deze NForcer-technologie kunnen pick & place automaten en andere fabricagesystemen met minder motoren en besturingen toe. De voordelen zijn legio: vereenvoudiging van het mechanisch ontwerp, lagere apparaatkosten en verhoging van de snelheid en precisie.
