Elke industrietak heeft last van trillingen. Vooral in de precisietechnologie is dat een groot probleem, want slecht gedempte trillingen beperken de nauwkeurigheid van de apparatuur. Terwijl juist aan die nauwkeurigheid steeds hogere eisen worden gesteld. Onderzoekers van drie kennisinstituten – Universiteit Twente, Technische Universiteit Delft en TNO Industrie en Techniek – hebben voor het trillingsprobleem ieder een andere oplossingsrichting uitgewerkt.
