Kogellagers in de horloge-industrie

Het kogellager is een van de belangrijkste onderdelen in een zichzelf opwindend horloge. Het verachaft de dynamische link met de slingerende massa die zorgt vor het opwinden van de hoofdveer. Andere functies worden tevens uitgevoerd tijdens de beweging, in de kast of op de wijzerplaat. Het ontwerp verschilt aanzienlijk van de radiale kogellager. Het kogelloopvlak bestaat uit vier hellende vlakken waar de naam “4-punts contactlager” is afgeleid.
