Glas is meestal niet de eerste keus als materiaal voor een precisietechnologische toepassing.“Pas wanneer de specifieke eigenschappen als transparant, chemisch bestendig, isolerend, thermoshock-bestendig, lage uitzetting of bijzondere optische eigenschappen nodig zijn, wordt er aan gebruik van glas als constructiemateriaal bedacht.” Dat schreef Mikrocentrum in de uitnodiging voor de themadag ‘Precisietoepassingen van Glas’ op 10 mei jl. Interessante inleidingen van diverse glasspecialisten maakten het ruimschoots de moeite waard die in Mikroniek samen te vatten.
